Who We Are
The Academy For Excellence is not a consulting firm. We are not a workshop series or a one-time training event. We are a full entrepreneurial ecosystem — meticulously designed and purposefully built to close the infrastructure gap that causes most entrepreneurs to fail before they ever reach their potential. Dominic Copeland — Founder & CEO
Dominic Copeland is a builder — a strategist who has spent decades operating at high levels of business, education, and civic leadership, and who has channeled every lesson learned into the architecture of AFE. His Fortune 500 background is international, giving him a uniquely global perspective on what entrepreneurial infrastructure looks like when it actually works.
Dominic is an educator, a civic leader, a former City Councilor, and a sitting member of the Massachusetts DESE AI K-12 Task Force — a body actively shaping the future of artificial intelligence education for the next generation. He understands both the macro systems that govern opportunity and the micro realities that determine whether an individual entrepreneur survives their first year.
The Academy For Excellence is not an idea Dominic stumbled upon. RISE AI Academy is AFE's flagship youth workforce development program — a 3 to 4 week immersive AI skills experience that transforms Black, Brown, and low-income youth into AI-powered entrepreneurs.
